17 Nov AJF22 – AEdEM – Naturalment
“Naturalment” is an educational concert which tries to raise awareness through music to the growing importance of climate change and its massive impact on the planet. This is a proposal based on five elements of nature: water, soil, fire and wood, and with a musical journey through songs with powerful and transformative messages. The students will enjoy live music at the same time that they can actively participate in a group performance at the end of the show. The list of songs in the repertoire include songs which talk about the environment, songs about the love of nature, songs that invite to fight against injustice, songs inspired by the ocean etc. Music as a connection with nature and music as a tool to defend and reclaim, to fight for the planet and to raise awareness to climate change.
On the stage we will have three very talented musicians with very different personalities but in perfect understanding with each other:
- The music direction is by the Catalan drummer Joan Terol, who has a successful international career working from Amsterdam, Barcelona and Germany. Besides his work as a musician in different groups and projects, Terol is also a music teacher at the Avinyó’s Music Workshops.
- On keyboards and singing we have Laura Serra, one of the new names of the new generation of talented young musicians of Mallorca, very well known for her role as singer and pianist in Alanaire, one of last year’s stand-out groups in the island.
- And on bass, Pere Bujosa, another young musician from Mallorca and one of the most active in the current jazz scene in the island; with his trio Bujosa has toured not just all over the islands but also festivals and venues around Europe.
