A very special concert starring entirely by women; six extraordinary performers from Cuba, Spain, Holland, Norway, Poland and Portugal, who join forces in this very interesting multinational group to highlight cultural fusion and the great contribution of women to the creation and interpretation of current jazz music.
Live, an interesting musical dialogue will be generated, open to exchange and enriched by the fusion of influences and cultures. Innovation, freedom, elegance, contrast, hybridization of styles and cultural exchange will govern an exceptional concert that we can enjoy thanks to the alliance of these six women who overflow with talent.
The group came together for the first time in 2021 on the large stage of the Teatro Principal in Palma (Mallorca) thanks to the initiative of the Alternatilla Jazz Festival for one of its ménage à jazz concerts. After the extraordinary and motivating experience for the six musicians and the warm reception from the public, what was going to be a unique occasion has become a project with a great future. In December 2022 they met again in Menorca, in a magnificent concert that managed to fill the great theater of Ciutadella – Teatre des Born. In this new year, 2023, the multinational super group of female jazz musicians will return to the stages of Europe with this exciting project.
Each of the six musicians has their own career and personal projects, both in their respective countries and internationally, but all of them are committed to this project in which they are able to combine their different artistic personalities in this musical “ménage à six” with a multicultural plural conversation that will detonate the limits of jazz.
