Tectonic jazz, future pulse.

Mallorcan trio Geometrical Sardine Last Flight Before Extinction, their second release: progressive-jazz explorations building on Minialien (2022), sketching soundscapes where rhythm, delays and electronics converse with the unexpected. Edged, luminous music that plays tension against release, like plates colliding and shifting the air.

Formed at the CSMIB, Jaume Rosselló(guitar), Joan Roca (bass) and b>Pep Aspas (drums) pool careers spanning Mallorca’s jazz and alternative scenes. Their sound bridges post-rock drive, jazz craft and the electric grain of effects, with hooks that grip and grooves that carve their path.

Set in Estudi General Lul·lià —a historic venue hosting thought and the arts since the 16th century— the programme turns immersive: layered builds, charged silences and sudden accelerations that call for close listening.  

An “ultimate flight” facing forward, reshaping the room into a chamber of sonic evolution.
