Lorenzo Bisogno Quartet & Massimo Morganti
Joan Terol, battery.
Laura Serra, piano, keyboards and voice.
Pere Bujosa, double bass.
The Lorenzo Bisogno Quartet finds its synthesis by intertwining the experiences of its members, telling stories: the sound of contemporary jazz with melodic thought, the freshness of improvisation with the elegance of composition.
The quartet was born from the gathering of four young talents from Ombria. The group has its roots in the rich tradition of jazz, from which the repertoire is nourished. The reinterpretation of the standards is combined with original songs, which are a characteristic feature of the group, but that remain in line with the more classical repertoire. Cedar Walton, Billy Strayhorn, Joe Henderson, Kenny Wheeler are just some of the composers who have inspired and influenced the band’s sound.
The solid rhythm section formed by Manuel Magrini on piano, Pietro Paris on double bass and Lorenzo Brilli on drums forms a rhythmic and harmonic fabric on which rest the melodies of the tenor sax of Lorenzo Bisogno, recent winner of the prestigious "Massimo Urbani International Prize".
For this occasion they will be accompanied by Massimo Morganti, trombonist, composer, arranger and conductor.
