With ‘‘New Viaggio’’, Richard Galliano revisits a landmark album (ViaggioAdrien Moignard and Philippe Aerts—an up-to-the-minute reading steeped in poetry and craft.

His language—between musette, tango and jazz—gave the accordion full citizenship; in this New Viaggio Trio the lyric guitar of Moignard and Aerts’s supple bass expand the palette without losing Galliano’s stamp.  

At the Conservatory’s Auditori, we lean into closeness and careful sound reinforcement so every nuance can breathe. A finale en apothéose—a nod to France—that closes the circle we opened with that “Vive le jazz!” on day one.
