«UN TAST DE JAZZ»
This activity is geared towards students from various music schools (info@alternatilla.com).
Its objective is to introduce the characteristics of jazz so that at the end of each session, students are able to perform a short improvisation on their instrument.
- A brief history: The origins of jazz and its impact on the world of music.
- Styles: Demonstration of the styles that became iconic in history.
- Accentuation: Tools for practicing the most characteristic rhythmic patterns.
- The Blues scale: What it is and how it can be used in a context different from its own.
- Improvisation: We learn to improvise using the appropriate techniques.
- Musical practice: Depending on each student's instrument, we will form working groups in which to practice and delve deeper into the concepts mentioned above.
The workshop lasts 60 to 75 minutes and is offered for groups of up to 15 students. Participants must have a minimum of two years of experience playing their instrument. The space hosting the activity must also have a whiteboard.
