A Constellation in Motion.

The b>Voodoo Children Collective is Toni Vaquer's orchestral laboratory: a large, shape-shifting band that writes bespoke music for its players, blending written material with measured risk to stretch what a modern big band can be. Vaquer—Mallorcan composer, pianist and arranger—conducts with firm hand and keen ears so the ensemble breathes as one.

They land in Porreres as the festival’s largest outfit: potent brass, a frontline of woodwinds, a full string section and a rhythm team built to walk. The result is cinematic sound: opening harmonic blocks, propulsive polyrhythms and melodies peeking through layers and textures. A project with a Fresh Sound release and a footprint at key festivals.

The Auditori de Porreres becomes a resonance chamber for this moving sound-mass: youthful energy and seasoned voices across generations—talent from Mallorca, the other islands and Catalonia—under Vaquer’s baton.

A night to hear how a huge big band can feel intimate, precise and absolutely alive.
